Unicompartmental knee arthroplasty has proven to be a successful alternative to high tibial osteotomy and total knee arthroplasty with proper indications1,3. The EPIK® Uni is a minimally invasive unicompartmental knee system developed to streamline hemi-knee arthroplasty surgery. Using the latest conservative surgical techniques with the EPIK system will reduce hospital stay, shorten recovery time, restore normal kinematics, and maximize ROM2,3. In addition, bone stock is preserved to facilitate future conversion to a tricompartment replacement as long as conservative operative techniques have been used.
