Al Alonso - Vice President, Quality Assurance and Clinical/Regulatory Affairs
Al Alonso joined DJO Surgical in July 2003 as the VP Quality Assurance, Clinical/Regulatory Affairs. Prior to that he worked 23 years with Carbomedics, Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of implantable cardiovascular devices, as the VP Quality Assurance, Clinical/Regulatory Affairs and also as the VP Quality Management. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin.
Bryan Monroe - Divisional Vice President, General Manager
Bryan Monroe has over 15 years of experience in the orthopedic industry in a wide variety of areas. Since joining DJO Surgical in September of 1996 he has served as Product Manager for Knee products, Product Manager for Spine products, Vice President of Marketing and International Business, Vice President of Global Marketing, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining DJO Surgical, Mr. Monroe worked at Stryker Instruments in several engineering design and project management positions, including Design Engineer and Project Engineer, focusing primarily on the development of disposable orthopedic instruments. Mr. Monroe has a Master of Science degree (1993) and a Bachelor of Science degree (1991) in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa.
Kathy Wiederkehr - Vice President, Human Resources
Kathy Wiederkehr joined DJO Surgical in 1995 and has over 19 years of experience in Human Resources. Although this is her first foray in the orthopedics industry, all of her experience has been within manufacturing organizations in both machine shop and electronic technologies. Prior to DJO Surgical, she was Director, Human Resources, Code Alarm, Inc. - Tessco Division in Georgetown, Texas. She has also worked for Fortune 500 companies including Emerson Electric, Inc. and Cooper Industries, Inc. Ms. Wiederkehr has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin (1976) and an Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin (1990).
