DJO Surgical is a global provider of medical devices that provide solutions for musculoskeletal health, vascular health and pain management. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in our Austin, Texas location. This position reports to the Director, Manufacturing. The position will:
- Play a lead role in cross-functional team developing process validation strategy, test plans and reports
- Analyze defect data and drive related process improvement
- Develop, implement and improve manufacturing and control processes
- Provide technical support for in-house and out-sourced manufacturing processes
- Participate in new product manufacturability review
- Confer with management regarding process capability and capacity
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in process validation, statistical analysis and statistical process control. Requires knowledge of materials, machining and fabrication of metals and plastics, metal finishing, precision cleaning, vacuum furnace processes, clean room operation, packaging, and quality control techniques. Requires BS in Engineering or equivalent and five years experience. Class 2 or 3 medical device manufacturing experience helpful but not required. Will also consider aerospace experience.
